Partner and architect Daniel Jongtien will present a lecture at Bureau Europa in Maastricht, Thursday the 16th of November, at 4:30 PM. The subject of this event is the train station and its surroundings in Maastricht. Are the investments made for the station area an urban necessity? Or can the same, or even more, be achieved by looking at transport and mobility in a different way? Daniel Jongtien and Jake Wiersma (urban planner, University of Amsterdam/Municipality of Maastricht) will present their vision and are able to answer your questions.
Daniel Jongtien has extensive experience with complex, long-term public projects. Benthem Crouwel Architects has gained fame with their master plans for Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Amsterdam Centraal, Utrecht Centraal and Rotterdam Centraal. Daniel shares his 'lessons learned' and significant success factors from several major projects he has been working on. In addition, Daniel reflects on the station area in Maastricht from his own perspective.
